# HelpCenter.AI > HelpCenter.AI keeps product documentation in step with the product. It checks help articles against a SaaS company's running app and its releases, finds instructions and screenshots that no longer match, and drafts small, reviewable updates for the team to approve. It also writes new articles from first-hand use of the product, from walkthrough videos and from questions customers couldn't find answers to. Status: early access with assisted onboarding; the entry point is a free help-center audit. Key facts: - Category: help-center verification and documentation maintenance for SaaS (an AI knowledge base that checks itself against the product). - How it checks: signs in to the customer's app with a test account, replays the flows articles describe, and compares labels, locations, steps and screenshots with what the article says. - Verification record: each check records date, build, environment, account role and language, plus what was executed and what was not. Destructive actions (deleting, sending, paying) are never executed. - Evidence labels: observed (seen during a replay), inferred (from a release change, not yet replayed), imported (carried over from existing content), unverified (could not be checked, with the reason). - Evidence sources: the running app, GitHub release changes, the existing help center (import and audit), walkthrough videos, and reader/support signals such as searches with no results. - Updates: block-level edits and re-rendered screenshots. Text written by the customer's team is protected: flagged when affected, never silently rewritten. Proposals are batched by cause, and confidence is a phrase (routine, worth a look, needs judgment), never a percentage. - Publishing today: HelpCenter.io (direct), Markdown export, llms.txt export. Next, chosen by pilot demand: Zendesk, Intercom, Crisp, docs-as-code pull requests, API and webhooks. - Safety: test-account passwords sit in an encrypted vault and are never shared with the AI model; each session runs in an isolated browser destroyed afterwards; every session is recorded. - Relationship to other tools: AI support agents resolve conversations and learn from them; docs platforms publish documentation and increasingly edit it from repositories and analytics. HelpCenter.AI is built around a different evidence source, the running product, and works alongside both. - Family: from the makers of HelpCenter.io (knowledge-base publishing) and HelpCenter.chat (in-app answers).
